ELECTROMAGNETIC FLOWMETER PART 1
Before we discuss the working principle of the Electromagnetic Flowmeter, we need to know that this flowmeter has 2 separate parts, where if there is damage to one of them, we only need to replace the damaged part.
1. Sensor / Transducer Is part of the flowmeter which is a sensor / transducer / detection in the form of a pipe / tube in which components have been given to detect flow
2. Display / Converter / Transmitter Is part of the flowmeter that processes the data generated from the detection of the Sensor This device can also convert data into several kinds of signals
Definition & Working Principle Electromagnetic Flowmeter is a tool used to measure the flow of Liquid / Liquid.
The working principle of this type of flowmeter is based on the law of electromagnetic induction (Faraday's Law), that is, if an electrically conductive liquid/liquid (has electrical conductivity) passes through the sensor/transducer pipe, the liquid will work as a moving conductor cutting the magnetic field generated by the sensor/transducer. magnetic coil from the Sensor / Transducer, so that an induced electric voltage arises, and this voltage will be read by the electrodes contained in the Sensor / Transducer pipe, which is then sent to the display device and processed into data. the flow to be read must have a conductivity value of at least more than 5 mc/us
